FATHER'S DAY JAZZ BRUNCH
Beta Omega Social Services, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization. We honor fathers and/or father-like figures. Also, we continue our tradition of awarding scholarship funds to young people transitioning to college during the event.
Many of our attendees come out to honor fatherhood and celebrate with their family and friends. Many community supporters that give back and support at-risk youth attend. Attendees show support by purchasing tickets. Come out for a delicious brunch, great jazz and fellowship with us on Father’s Day.

We founded our scholarship after the passing of Michael J. Gilbert. He was a devoted father that was a member of our organization. Michael was a single father who deeply loved his daughter, Lauren. After Michael’s untimely death in October 1994, Beta Omega began the Michael J. Gilbert Scholarship Program (MGSP) to honor his commitment to Fatherhood and Scholarship.
We awarded the first Michael J. Gilbert Scholarship to Lauren Nicole Gilbert in 1998. The MGSP has since grown into a funding opportunity for DC area students seeking additional funds for their education.
Since the inception of the fund, we have provided more than $100,000 in scholarships to deserving DC area students in pursuit of higher education.
