Beta Omega Social Services has teamed up with Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe to teach a skilled curriculum that prepares students with the skills they need to play a significant role in the prevention or interruption of abuse and bullying. Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe covers topics such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, bullying and cyberbullying, all at an age-appropriate level. The content and delivery of the curriculum is based on child development, social psychology and child abuse and neglect prevention. The students are taught to identify unsafe situations and how to identify and talk to safe adults, and the five key safety rules children can follow to help adults keep them safe.
