 The Beta Omega Alumni Chapter (BOAC) of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. is the Washington, DC, graduate chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.  Since 1970, the BOAC has been aggressively making a difference in the lives of the community in which it serves, and continues to embody Iota’s five founding principles: Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood.

The District of Columbia, Department of Health, through the Community Transformation Grant, has partnered with Beta Omega Social Services, Inc to create healthier communities by implementing systems, environmental, and programmatic changes aimed at increasing physical activity and proper nutrition, reducing weight, reducing tobacco use, and improving chronic disease outcomes.  The DC Safe Routes to School Program under the Department of Transportation works to improve safety for students who walk and bicycle to school, encourage students and their parents to walk and bicycle to school, boost student physical activity, reduce parents’ fuel consumption, and reduce pollution and traffic congestion near schools.  The Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) is the national capital region's nonprofit bicycle advocacy and education membership association.
